WV Dream team wins East Fairmont tourney

The West Virginia Dream AAU basketball team.


The West Virginia Dream eighth grade girls AAU team recently won the East Fairmont Shootout over Mother’s Day Weekend.

The team went 5-0 in the event and has raised their season record to 26-4, with four tournament titles and one second place finish.

The team also played up in the high school division of this event and went 3-2 during the weekend.

“I have been blessed and fortunate to coach some amazing young ladies who come and work very hard. Their drive to get better shows each day they step on the court,” Dream coach Mike Tothe said.

The team is scheduled to play in Cincinnati, Ohio this coming weekend and still has a few events left before taking their talents south for the Nationals in late June.

Team members include, Jill Tothe, Peyton Ilderton, Kennedi Rash, Reyvin Cottle, Kaylea Jo Baisden, Ashton Conn, Gracie Jones, Makayla May, Abby Myers and Raegan Quick.

The team is sponsoring a big time purse bingo event on Friday, June 16 at Logan Middle School. Contact a team member or coach to purchase your ticket.
