NAUGATUCK – Tug Valley’s Austin Brewer and Mikey Newsome have played basketball together since they were 5-years old.
Now the two seniors have decided to attend the same college and continue their exploits on the hardwood.

Mingo Central all-state guard Austin Banks is heading to Alderson-Broaddus to further his education and to play basketball.
The 5-10 guard was a third team Class AA All-State player this past season for coach Brad Napier’s squad. He was also a first team Daily News All-State player the past two seasons.
Banks averaged 17 points, eight assists, five rebounds and three steals a game for the Miners.

Chrissy Farmer signs to play hoops at W.Va. State Kyle Lovern

Mingo Central senior Chrissy Farmer has signed with West Virginia State to play basketball and continue her education.
“I was a little nervous about making my decision,” Farmer said. “But, I’m sure I made the right choice. State will be like a second home.”
