WILLIAMSON — A Williamson resident who has made several court appearances within the past month found himself once again, being arraigned in Mingo County Magistrate Court on Monday, after he allegedly attempted to transport drugs inside the Southwestern Regional Jail (SWRJA) at Holden by concealing them inside a body cavity.

Christopher A. Cline, 40, was appearing in Circuit Court Monday morning for an extradition hearing request from Pike County, Ky., on charges of failure to pay child support, when he reportedly concealed a plastic bag containing approximately 17 grams of marijuana inside his rectum with the purpose of getting the drugs inside the regional jail.

According to information provided by Williamson Police Chief C.D. Rockel and Mingo County Special Investigator Eugene Crum, they had received a tip that an individual who is a participant of the Mingo County Day Report Program was allegedly placing drugs in the Circuit Court jury room restroom that is utilized by defendants during their hearings. Per the anonymous tip, officers and court bailiffs placed the plastic bag containing the marijuana between the liner and the garbage bag that was located inside the bathroom. The only defendant who used the facility Monday morning was Cline. When he left the restroom, law enforcement inspected the trash can and discovered the drugs were missing. A body and cavity search was performed on Cline and the contraband was recovered.

Cline was charged with one count of introducing contraband into jail, and was issued a $10,000 full cash bond by Chief Magistrate Dallas Toler. Cline was remanded back to the custody of the SWRJA, but not before making threats against Chief Rockel.

“I won’t always be in jail and I know where you live,” stated Cline, as he was leaving the courtroom. “Your day is coming.”

The defendant also voiced derogatory statements toward Special Investigator Crum.

Court records show that between the year of 2000 and present, Cline has been arrested 9 times including Monday, for a total of 21 charges. Documentation for the years prior to 2000 was not readily available.

Cline is one of 9 arrests that has been conducted since Crum was appointed as a special investigator through the Mingo County Prosecutor’s Office.

Chris is a piece of garbage, one that thinks he's a bad azz and in reality he's a punk.I don't understand why he's not Up-State in Prison doin hard time,I mean all he does is make the system in Mingo county look like children run it,I don't know how he get's away with all the thing's he has gotten away with.

He needs to be locked up for a few yrs. and quite a few as well, instead of always being allowed to get by with the thing's he's gotten away with.Until he is put where he belong's he will just be doin what he's been doin for yrs. making Mingo County Law Officials look like idiot's.

I hope they finally send him where he belong's this time, and funny thing is how come he's not posing like he has his last few visit's to the courthouse, for the new's paper's??
