Snow and bad road conditions forced the cancellation of several high school games on Friday night.

Mingo Central was scheduled to travel to McDowell County to take on Mount View, but that game was postponed.

Both Belfry and Tug Valley were scheduled to travel to Logan to play in the Coalfield Classic at Willie Akers Arena.

At press time for the Williamson Daily News, Tug Valley was scheduled to play, but Belfry coach Randy Casey said his parents did not want to travel in the inclement weather. So the Pirates game with Logan was canceled.

Belfry was to play Logan, while Tug Valley was slated to take on highly ranked Greenbrier East.

The Lady Miners of Mingo Central were schedule to go to Lincoln County, however that game was postponed. Mingo Central will host Poca Monday night.

The Phelps Hornets were scheduled to travel to Jenkins, but reports said that game was also postponed.

The WDN had not received word on any games for Saturday night. Tug Valley is slated to host Man tonight.
