MORGANTOWN – West Virginia’s football program received a pair of commitments on Monday.

Daryl Worley, a Philadelphia native, visited Morgantown and the WVU facilities this past weekend before he made his decision.

Worley is listed at 6-foot, 185 pounds, met the offensive staff. He plays on both sides of the football and also returns kicks. He will likely be a wide receiver for the Mountaineers.

Worley plays at William Penn Charter School.

Daikiel Shorts, a 6-foot-1, 200-pound receiver is out of Elkton, Md., and committed to the Mountaineers after speaking with his recruiting coach, Daron Roberts and WVU head coach Dana Holgorsen.

Shorts becomes WVU’s 11th commitment for the 2013 class and the second receiver after Worley.

Ticket sales for the “Friends of Coal” Bowl against Marshall on Saturday, Sept. 1, and the first-ever Big 12 Conference game against Baylor on Saturday, Sept. 29, are suspended pending additional returns from the visiting team allotment.

Single-game tickets for the Maryland, Kansas State, TCU and Kansas home games can still be purchased through the Mountaineer Ticket Office online at www.WVUGAME.com or by calling 1-800-WVU GAME.
