The pairings have been set for the Class AA tournament which starts Monday at Logan Memorial Fieldhouse.

At 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, No. 1 seed Tolsia (15-3) is scheduled to play the winner of the game of No. 4 Mingo Central (10-10) and No. 5 Wayne. The Miners and Pioneers are slated to open the sectionals with the play-in game on Monday at 7:00 p.m. at Logan.

Chapmanville Regional (11-9) goes up against their rival Scott on Wednesday at 8:00 p.m. at Logan’s Willie Akers Arena. The No. 2 seed Lady Hawks (11-8) beat Chapmanville twice this season by 45-42 and 41-37 scores.

The two semifinal winners are set to advance to the sectional championship game on Friday, Feb. 22 at 7:00 p.m., also at Logan. Both the winner and runner-up would then move on to the Class AA regional tourney the following week.

In Class A, the higher seeded team will host each game. On Monday, February 18, No. 5 Greater Beckley Christian (GBC) will travel to No.4 Montcalm. Then No. 6 Van will head over the mountain to take on No. 3 Sherman. Both games are scheduled for 7:00 p.m.

The winner of GBC-Montcalm will take on No. s Tug Valley on Tuesday, Feb. 19 at 7:00 p.m. The winner of Van-Sherman game will take on No.2 Man the same night.

The winners of the semi-final games will play at the higher seeded team’s home gym on Thursday, February 21 at 7:00 p.m.

The Regional tournament will be the following week on February 28 at 7:00 p.m. Those teams will be decided once the sectional champions are crowned.
