George “Buck” Dotson Jr., 55, of Ransom, Ky., was called upon by the death angels to be with the Lord on Nov. 1, 2009.

He was born Dec. 14, 1953, in Williamson the beloved son of the late George and Myrtle Hatfield Dotson.  He was also preceded in death by a brother, Adam Bruce Dotson; and a sister, Beverly Michelle Dotson.

He was a disabled coal miner and member of the UMWA.

He is survived by one son, Shannon Dotson of Ransom, Ky.; two grandchildren, Mikayla and Gage Dotson; a sister, Maxine (Rick) Quesenberry of Silver Springs, Fla.; one nephew, Billy Dotson and one niece, Niki Dotson both of Williamson.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 4, at the Bluesprings Freewill Baptist Church, Ransom, with Emery Varney, Larry Hubbard and Lee Dotson Jr. officiating.  Burial will follow in the Bluesprings Freewill Church Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation will be held after 6 p.m. Tuesday, at the Bluesprings Freewill Bap-tist Church.  Special services will be held at 7 p.m.     R. E. Rogers Funeral Home of Belfry is in charge of arrangements.
