GILBERT —In an effort to make sure the holidays are the best they can possibly be, the Crossroads Recovery Home for Women in Gilbert will conduct a community indoor yard sale.

The event begins Friday, Nov. 30, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Strong Through Our Plan (STOP) Coalition offices next to the Gilbert Post Office.

Josh Murphy, Assistant Director of the STOP Coalition told the Daily News that all proceeds from the event would go toward both ensuring that the families of Crossroads residents would have a Merry Christmas this year and the betterment of Crossroads itself.

Murphy said that the Gilbert community had been “awesome” so far in its support of Crossroads, and mentioned that if Friday’s event was a success, it could very well extend over to Saturday. The items available at the yard sale are either unusuable by Crossroads or are left over after having already constructed care packages for current and future residents of the recovery home.

He also said that STOP was still accepting any and all donations, and that if anyone wanted to donate directly towards residents’ children, the oldest child was around 14-years-old and the youngest was 2-years-old.

For more information, call the recovery home at (304) 664-2700 or the STOP offices at (304) 664-3986.
