Graveyard Politics

During the Halloween season most Americans are seeking scary thrills and spooky chills. They will not find a story more frightening than the results of Roe V. Wade. Since 1973, more than 55 million babies have been aborted. To put this in perspective, you could total all casualties from every war in American history. Still this couldn’t make half of the deaths caused by abortion. It even tops annual fatalities caused by heart disease, which according to medical experts is the leading cause of death in America. The truth is that abortion claims more American lives than any other factor. This is a horrendous crisis in our country and it must be addressed.

The third presidential debate has presented a clear choice between the candidates on this issue. One candidate took a pro-life stand, while the other whole-heartedly supports abortion for any reason. Late term and partial-birth termination was not even too much for that person. Science supports the view that life begins at conception and abortion at any stage is ending a human life. The later the term, the more brutal the process can be for the baby. The various types of this practice consist of suffocation, poisoning, or flat out crushing human organs. There have even been cases of babies surviving these attempts and being fully delivered. However, they were left without treatment and neglected to die. This sounds like a Halloween nightmare, but is a sad reality in our history.

Pro-choice advocates deceitfully bring up the health of the mother in every debate. They will bring up cases where delivering a child could threaten the life of a woman. However, this is extremely rare and there are sometimes other options to save a life. What is revealing is that these activists will not even settle for pro-life laws that make exceptions in these seldom occurrences. The overwhelming majority of women, who terminate their babies, do so for social reasons. Pro-choice advocates also point to the rights of the mother but completely ignore those of the baby. In addition, they pretend as if Planned Parenthood exists to support women’s health.

Maybe it is because they make billions on babies’ body parts. This could be the reason why they will not tell the truth about what is really happening in these clinics. Only undercover videos have given us a glimpse of these haunted houses full of real ghouls and goblins.

Since this is primarily a moral issue, it is important to know the scripture in Proverbs 6:16-17: “These six things doth the Lord hate… and hands that shed innocent blood.” Even a loving, patient God shows anger towards such an abomination. This is something that cannot be overlooked even when it comes to voting. We should take the time to research where every candidate stands on the issue of life. Also, we must realize that the next president will nominate the next Supreme Court Judges. This is the most central issue of the election and will determine the future path of our country. Christians get involved to prevent a most horrific outcome that will impact us for decades.
