LOGAN - Class AAA power Logan High School recently defeated Mingo Central in tennis action.

Logan beat both the Central men and the ladies teams 7- Love.

“This helps us to get ready for our regional matches that are coming up; we played well in some of the matches even though we lost them,” MCHS coach Julius “Boo” Hatcher said.

“Central is one of the few Class AA/A teams that take on Class AAA teams. My players like it and welcome the competition. Logan is coached well (Justin Turner), and our squads really like playing one another because we bring it to them and they bring it to us,” Hatcher added.

“This week we have four regional matches plus our Cardinal Conference Tourney is on Friday,” Hatcher concluded. “This will let us know what seeding we will get for our Regional tournament next week.”
