New life springs up in a winter-weary land. Vivid colors of purple, pink, and green appear as the dreary picture of the past fades away. A transformation takes place throughout the earth arraying the planet with divine beauty. The sun rises with a new strength expelling the bitter cold. Everything changes and all things become new during this marvelous time. What an appropriate time to celebrate the Easter season. There are many parallels with this occasion that exhibits the glorious gospel.
In one of the darkest hours of history, Jesus endured the crucifixion. This was the cruelest form of torture invented by the Roman Empire to make an example out of vile criminals. Jesus embraced this suffering to die for the sins of the world. The third day turned the tables on evil and became an unforgettable morning. Jesus victoriously arose from the ground, defeating death, hell, and the grave. This miracle changed the world and distinguished Christ from all other gods. As a result, there is hope of a new life for the sinner. Now all can escape the fury of Hell for an everlasting home in God’s celestial paradise. An empty tomb is all the evidence needed to confirm that Jesus was the Son of God. His word is truth, Christ keeps his promises, and he is the hope for humanity.
This monumental event that altered the world can dramatically change everyone. God spoke of a much needed experience for all people in John 3:3: “Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” Jesus talked about a new life that comes from faith in him. We all started our journey in sin and accumulated dark offenses that stained us spiritually. Many people realize that they are bound by sin and cannot change on their own. God wants to cleanse us and give power to break every chain. He can make a new creation just like he beautifies the earth at Spring Time. This is the perfect season to give your life to the Lord and put your faith in Jesus. The empty tomb will fill your heart and give you a complete life.
