DELBARTON - Today and Saturday, Mingo Central will present their first musical, “Anything Goes!”
The show is set on the USS American traveling from New York and London carrying Miss Hope Harcourt, her fiancé, Sir Evelyn Oakleigh and the infamous Reno Sweeny. Chaos breaks loose when Hope bumps into the man she truly loves, Billy Crocker, and realizes he is sailing, even though he has no passport or ticket and intends to win her back.
Also on board is Moonface Martin, Public Enemy Number 13, disguised as a preacher, who is trying to get out of the country without anyone noticing him. Moonface meets Billy and gets him wrapped up in his lie as he offers him the passport of Snake Eyes Johnson, Public Enemy Number One.
Will Moonface get out of the country safely? Will Billy win Hope back? Come out and see for yourself!
Performances are today at 7 p.m. and Saturday at 1:30 and 7 p.m. Tickets are $5 for adults and $4 for students, and all performances are being held in the auditorium at Mingo Central High School. Doors will open 30 minutes before the show begins and all performances are open to the public.
