Tug Valley basketball player Thomas Baisden has been recognized as one of the finest basketball players in the country through his nomination to the 2014 McDonald’s All American High School Boys Basketball team.


Baisden is one of only 1,000 male prep basketball standouts in the nation nominated by the Team Selection Committee, a group of nationally prominent basketball experts. As a nominee, Thomas will be considered for of the 24 positions on the final McDonald’s All American High School Boys Basketball Team.


The 37th annual Boys Game will tip off at 8:30 p.m. and air live on ESPN. Proceeds from the game will benefit the Ronald McDonald House Charities.


Baisden is the son of Bruce Baisden.


Presenting him with a certificate for this prestigious honor is Principal Johnny Branch, Coach Garland Thompson, and McDonald’s of East Kentucky representatives Jerry Kestner and Bonita Adams.
