SPRATTSVILLE - A house fire Friday morning at Sprattsville left a family homeless.

Douglas and Teresa Clark were not at home when the fire that started in their home quickly engulfed the structure. The couple and their three children lost nearly all of their belongings. At the time of the blaze, Teresa reportedly was at work and Douglas was fishing with their three children.

The emergency call came in to the Gilbert Volunteer Fire Department at about 10:46 a.m. The house was engulfed in flames when crews arrived at the scene. The cause of fire is unknown and remains under investigation at this time.
