KERMIT – A series of events are planned for Kermit’s 2015 Fall Festival scheduled for Friday and Saturday, September 4 and 5.
Events kick off Friday, Sept., 4, for the annual event with a cruise in car show at 4:00 p.m. at the Kermit Community Park.
On Saturday, events begin at 7:00 a.m. and will continue to 2:00 p.m. Registration for the 5-k Walk or Run for Autism will be held in front of the Kermit Post Office at 7:00 a.m., with the event beginning at 8:00 a.m. The 5-k for Autism is being sponsored by Dr. J.W. Endicott and the Crum-Kermit Clinic.
Parade line up is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. in front of the Kermit Post Office. The parade will occur at 11 a.m.
From the hours of noon to 2:00 p.m., pony rides, blow-ups, face painting, wood crafts, arts and crafts, food booths and music will be available at the Kermit Community Park.
Musical performances will be provided by the Blackberry Jam Band, Savannah Young, Alex Muncy, Emily Colegrove, Michael Pennington, Kendra Spaulding, and Kelly Kirk.
A pet show will take place at the Kermit Community Park at 2:00 p.m.
