WILLIAMSON, W.Va. – The Williamson Branch of The National Association for The Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) will sponsor a Freedom Fund/Biennial Installation Program, Saturday, December 3 at 1:00 p.m. at the Logan Street First Baptist Church in Williamson.
The theme for the program is “After the Vote, Where Do We Go From Here ? Forward.”
The keynote speaker will be the Rev. Dr. Robert E. Rogers of Bluefield, W.Va., who will also install the officers of the 2016-2018 biennial term.
Rev Dr. Rogers was born in Welch, W.Va., Reverand Dr. Rogers has worked in a variety of career fields including radio/television broadcasting, substance abuse counselor and writer, in addition to Pastor.
The NAACP Williamson Branch is asking for your support, this event will be the fund-raiser for the 2016 Freedom Fund assessment in the amount of $300.
In lieu of the banquet and ticket sales of previous years, an offering will be received. The group is asking local churches to give financial suppoert to the Freedom Fund at this program and individual donations would be appreciated also.
Everyone is invited to join the group in fellowship.
Anyone who is not a member, but is interested in becominga member. Memberships will be accepted at the program, as well as at any and all programs sponsored by the NAACP.
A reception with refreshments will folow the program.
