Operation Clean Sweep

LOGAN, W.Va. — Members of the US 119 Drug and Violent Crimes Task Force along with members of the Logan County Sheriff’s Department executed multiple arrest warrants throughout Logan County November 26.

The arrest warrants were obtained as a result of numerous drug investigations which have been conducted over the past several months.

During the operation twelve individuals were arrested on 24 separate drug related charges.

Michael Sherod: delivery of a controlled substance, conspiracy

Christopher Kelly: two counts of delivery of a controlled substance

Bruce Roberts: delivery of a controlled substance

Khaleel Reynolds: four counts of delivery of a controlled substance

Frank Morgan: three counts of delivery of a controlled substance

Terry Grimmet: four counts of delivery of a controlled substance

Mark Copley: two counts of delivery of a controlled substance

Austin Brooks: delivery of a controlled substance

Ardith D. Messer: delivery of a controlled substance

Brittany Marcum: delivery of a controlled substance

Kennis Browning: two counts of delivery of a controlled substance

Remona Bailey: possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance

All individuals are from the Logan County area.

Also during the operation, a search warrant was obtained for the residence of Terry Grimmett in which an additional amount of a controlled substance was seized. In all, approximately $1,667 in U.S. currency was seized along with marijuana, suboxone strips as well as other controlled substances.

All the individuals arrested were processed and are housed in the Southwestern Regional Jail to await arraignment.
