Big Creek fire


William Plaster/WDN Photo Hatfield Volunteer Fire Department, Turkey Creek Volunteer Fire Department and Big Creek Volunteer Fire Department responded to a structure fire early Wednesday morning at the home of Hatfield Volunteer Fire Department Assistant Fire Chief Jody Bailey. The three departments responded with a total of three engines and two tanker trucks and approximately 20 firefighters. Departments remained on the scene around four hours. The structure was a total loss. Reportedly no one was home at the time of the fire. No injuries have been reported. At this time officials do not know how the fire started.
