WILLIAMSON – World on Wellness (WOW) will be held at the Southern West Virginia Community and Technical College (SWVCTC) Williamson Campus on Saturday, Aug. 20.
World on Wellness is presented by Women on Wellness. This year’s event is open to everyone including men and children. The event is scheduled to begin at 7:30 a.m. and will conclude at 3:30 later that afternoon.
World on Wellness offers health screenings, nutrition counseling, fitness workshops, education opportunities and holistic offerings. Employers are encouraged to send their employees as part of their wellness program.
The registration fee is $25 and includes a health screening materials and food. No one is turned away. Volunteer and sponsorship opportunities are available. Military, veterans, wives or significant others of veterans and active duty personnel can participate for free. This includes military reservists and guards.

The event is funded by the West Virginia University Extension Service with support from the Foundation for the National Institutes of Health in partnership with The Heart Truth program.
Partnerships for the event include the WVU Healthcare Heart Institute, SWVCTC, Coalfield Community Action Partnership (CAP), and the Williamson Health and Wellness Center.
