CHARLESTON, W.Va. – Charleston native Jennifer Garner will return to her home state Tuesday, July 19, to host a fundraiser for Herbert Hoover High School.

Garner will join W.Va. State Sen. Corey Palumbo, D-Kanawha, who announced the fundraiser, and HHHS principal Mike Kelley. Tickets for the event, which will be held at the University of Charleston, can be purchased on Eventbrite at www.supportherberthoover.eventbrite.com for $100, $500, or $1,000. A limited number of tickets will be available for the event and will be sold on a first-come first-serve basis.

“From the moment she heard about the flooding, Jennifer has been working hard to raise money and provide supplies for flood victims,” said Palumbo. “As a strong supporter of education, she was heartbroken to hear about the flooding at Herbert Hoover High School and has been working hard to help.”

Palumbo said the $100 ticket is a general admission fee, the $500 ticket includes a professionally taken photograph with Garner and $1,000 ticket includes a private reception prior to the event and a professionally taken photograph with Garner. The organization Save The Children will collect the funds and earmark them for Herbert Hoover High School.

She has starred in several successful motion pictures including Miracles From Heaven, Juno, Butter and the upcoming film, Tribes From Palos Verdes.
