Nine arrested for manufacturing meth



PIKEVILLE, Ky. – Nine indictments were issued in Pike Circuit Court on felony charges for manufacturing methamphetamine.

The indictment included the following people : Fred Hunt from Pikeville, Alex Hall from Minnie, Pierce Christie from Lexington, Shawn Lowe from Raccoon, Wesley Hall from Salyersville, Jessica Gibson from Pikeville, Dan Gardner from Pikeville, Kortney Tackett from Prestonsburg and Sandra Miller from Pikeville.

According to the indictment, “during a period of time from on or about June 1 2015, and continuing to Jan. 5 2016, in Pike County the above named defendants committed the offense of engaging in a criminal syndicate when being one of five or more persons and with the purpose of establishing or maintaining a criminal syndicate, or with the purpose of facilitating any activities of a criminal syndicate, they organized or participated in organizing such entity or provided material aid, or managed or supervised, acted as an accomplice in the commission of trafficking in a controlled substance or possessing with the intent to traffic in said controlled substance which activities did transpire on a continuing basis throughout the aforementioned period of time.”

All nine were charged with the manufacture of methamphetamine.

Wesley Hall, Fred Hunt, Kourtney Tackett, Alex Hall and Sandra Miller have also been indicted for trafficking in a controlled substance in the first degree, for dispensing selling, transferring or possessing a quantity of methamphetamine. These acts occurred at various times between June 12015 and Jan. 5 2016.

Alex Hall also has an indictment for possession of a controlled substance in the first degree when knowingly possessing a quantity of methamphetamine.

Shawn Lowe and Sandra Miller have also been charged with the offense of persistent felony offender in the second degree.
