FRANKFORT, Ky. – Rep. Chris Harris officially filed his paperwork to seek re-election to the Kentucky House of Representatives on Nov. 24, 2015. He currectly serves the people of Pike and Martin Counties, which make up the 93rd Legislative District. Just after 3pm that afternoon, Rep. Harris met with Kentucky Secretary of State Alison Lundergan Grimes, Kentucky’s chief elections official, to personally deliver his filing papers in Frankfort. She accepted his papers as in good order for the 2016 election.
“I’m grateful to the people of Pike and Martin Counties for their vote of confidence and allowing me to serve our community in the General Assembly. I’m eager to continue fighting for East Kentucky and our values,” Rep. Harris said.
Rep. Harris has made government transparency and working for solutions to bring jobs and opportunities to Kentucky families hallmarks of his time in the state legislature. He currently serves on the following committees: Banking and Insurance, Judiciary, Natural Resources and Environment (vice chair), and Tourism Development and Energy.
