LENORE – Professional and service personnel changes and extracurricular assignments were approved at a regular Mingo County Board of Education (BOE) meeting, Tuesday, October 20.
Alicia Hall was approved to transfer from a first grade position at Burch Elementary School to a fifth grade position at Matewan PK-8 effective upon certified replacement.
Terri Sheppard was approved to resign from a business position at Tug Valley High School effective Oct. 12.
Lauren Younger was approved as a substitute teacher for Mingo County Schools effective Oct. 8.
Service personnel were approved for new employment or to transfer into existing positions. Rachel Hannah was approved for Cook II at Williamson PK-8. April Lockard was approved as Cook II during a leave of absence at Mingo Central High School. Bill Holsten was approved as Bus Operator for the Gilbert area. James Napier was approved as Custodian III at Lenore PK-8. All service personnel approvals are effective Oct. 21.
Professional extracurricular assignments were also approved.
At Tug Valley High School, Steven Alley and Pamela Booth were approved as after school teachers or tutors.
At Kermit PK-8, Stella Brumfield and Marsha Deskins were approved as after school teachers or tutors.
Henry Clay Moore, Elizabeth Keatley, Allison Kate Endicott and Christine Cline were approved as After School teachers or tutors at Mingo Central High School. Robert Hammond was approved as Athletic Trainer and Wrestling Coach at Mingo Central High School. Darrell Farmer was approved as an unpaid Assistant Girls’ Basketball Coach at Mingo Central High School.
Barbara Fields and Kristin Huddle were approved as after school teachers or tutors at Matewan PK-8.
Mildred Ooten and Jamie Heflin were approved as after school teachers or tutors at Lenore PK-8.
Robert Hammond was approved as Softball Coach at Burch Middle School.
Brandon Wolford was approved as after school teacher or tutor at Burch Elementary School.
