Marcum, White propose cost of living increase for retirees

Staff Report

CHARLESTON – Mingo County Delegates Justin J. Marcum and Harry Keith White have jointly proposed a cost of living increase for retirees. The proposal will come as a way to help the seniors and retirees of the State of West Virginia. Marcum and White are working on legislation that will accomplish the goal of helping our seniors and retirees of West Virginia.

Both Marcum and White are concerned about the Republican leadership in the House and Senate. They both have discussed this matter as well as a tax break for the middle class with the Republican leadership in both House’s and Marcum said they seem more worried about the extreme wealthy, not retirees and seniors.

The Bill which Marcum and White are proposing is in an attempt to help those who need help the most. Both Delegates believe in helping the middle class and retirees of the State.

“The Bill is vital to our economy, our seniors, and our retirees. We need to help our veterans, teachers, and others who have given so much to our State. It is vital that we get this Bill passed,” stated Delegate Marcum.

Justin Marcum represents the 20th District. Harry Keith White represents the 21st District in the West Virginia House of Delegates.
