Halloween events have been scheduled for Williamson, Logan, Pikeville, and surrounding areas

October is now under way and many Halloween themed attractions are popping up throughout the area.

In downtown Williamson on Oct. 24 at 7:30 p.m., The Righteous Brew and Grill is hosting a Murder Mystery Dinner with a choice of grilled chicken or steak.

The cost is $25 per person or $45 per couple. Call for reservations at 304-235-1234.

In Logan, a Historic Downtown Ghost Tour is available. The Historic Ghost Tour will take visitors into the heart of Logan’s haunted history as our visit four sites with Cache Theatre Company and Bridgerland Storytellers.

Each guided tour lasts approximately 90 minutes and walking distance is less than one half mile. Tours run every Friday and Saturday in October. Tour reservations are required. Buy reservations online at www.logandowntown.org.

The Chief Logan Lodge has a couple of events planned for the month of Oct.

On Oct. 9, The Ghost of Windsor Manor murder mystery performance has been scheduled. King or double Queen room packages are available. The package includes one night at Chief Logan Lodge for two adults,dinner, express breakfast and murder mystery performance. The cost is $130 per couple. Reservations are highly recommended. The Chief Logan Lodge is also hosting the second annual spooktacular costume party with music by the radio guy, Dave Glenn Alley. The cost is $25 per couple, or $15 solo. Room packages are also available and include a dinner buffet for two. To make reservations, call 304-855-6100.

On Friday, Oct. 2, the Hatfield Haunted Trail, sponsored by the Hatfield Fire Department, will be open for tours. The tour features the former Hatfield Manor, a house steeped in history and local legend.

The cost for admission is $5 dollars. On Sundays, college students may show their ID and receive a discounted admission price.

The tour is located at 8619 N Big Creek Road, Hatfield Ky. On Friday, Oct. 2, 9, 16, 23, 30 the tour starts at 10 p.m. On Saturday, Oct. 3, 10, 17, 24, 31 the tour starts at 8:30 p.m. On Sunday Oct. 4, 11, 18, 25, the tour starts at 8:30 p.m.

The Haunted McCoy Manor presents Insanitarium, open every Friday and Saturday in Oct. from the hours of 7 to 11 p.m.

The cost of admission is $5 dollars. The Haunted McCoy Manor is a two story brick house located on Lovers Lane in McCarr, Ky at 10157 ST Hwy 1056.

In Pikeville, Ky., White Lighting Zip line offers a Haunted Zip line Tour every weekend in Oct. Tours are offered at 4 p.m., 6 p.m., 8 p.m., and 10 p.m. The Haunted Trail and Zip line package is $35.

At Jenny Wiley State Resort Park, on October 16, 17, 23, and 24, a Haunted Boat Ride is available.

The cost of admission is $5. The tour is located across from the campground and there are signs indicating the location. The tour starts at dark and will continue until 11 p.m.

Trick or Treat for the area is scheduled for Thursday, October 29, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
