Pike County Food News for March/April

PIKEVILLE, Ky. – The Pike County Health Department recently released health inspection results conducted throughout Pike County during the months of March and April.

One business in the Belfry area had two critical items listed in April’s health inspection. The Goody Double Kwik in South Williamson received a score of 87 percent with two critical items listed. The first item listed concerned a lack of hot water in the men’s restroom. The other item listed concerned a roach infestation in the back storage room. Instructions for the roach infestation stated that the room must be cleared and treated within 10 days.

Three local establishments received inspection scores during the month of March. Bevins Elementary received a health inspection score of 96 percent. The Family Dollar Store in Phelps received a health inspection score of 95 percent. Darrell’s Grocery Store in Phelps received a health inspection score of 97 percent.

In April, several local establishments received health inspection scores in the Belfry area. Speedway in Belfry received a score of 96 percent. Branham’s Citgo in South Williamson received a score of 99 percent. Taco Bell in South Williamson received a score of 98 percent. Zip Zone Express in South Williamson received a score of 94 percent. The Dollar Tree at the Southside Mall received a score of 100 percent. Southside Elementary at Toler received a health inspection score of 99 percent. The Subway of South Williamson received a health inspection score of 93 percent. Belfry High School received a health inspection score of 100 percent.

Two health inspections were conducted in the Pikeville area during the month of April. Rustic Roots on Second received a health inspection score of 100 percent. The Pikeville Double Kwik on Bypass Road also received a health inspection score of 100 percent.
