Total Loss


Chattaroy Volunteer Fire Department (CVFD) responded to this house fire at Howard Hollow around 2:30 a.m. on Friday morning. According to CVFD Chief Joe Rumore the home was fully engulfed in flames upon their arrival, Williamson Fire Department was then called for mutual aid. Both departments battled the blaze for approximate four and a half hours. On Friday afternoon CVFD was called back to the scene for a rekindle. CVFD responded with three trucks and eight men, WFD assisted with one truck and two men. The home is a total loss and the cause of the fire is still under investigation, no one was home at the time of the fire.
