Ragland Crime Watch group organizes community cleanup

By Kyle Lovernklovern@civitasmedia.comRAGLAND - The Ragland Crime Watch held a Litter Awareness Day last Saturday at Ragland.The group had a great day weather-wise with temperatures in the mid-80s. They picked up litter and garbage along the roadway and creek bank.Crime Watch President Richard Belcher said approximately 300 bags of trash was picked up and hauled away covering about a five-mile area. Approximately 80 volunteers ranging in ages from 8 to 78 years old participated. Most of the volunteers were from the Ragland Crime Watch group. Many were friends and neighbors from Ragland while others came from Delbarton.
