Growing up, if my brother and I wanted ravioli Mama would open a can and heat it up for us. Never had I had it homemade till after I was grown and out on my own. Over the years I have tried several different recipes, all which were good, but this one using the crock pot is just delicious. A very hearty meal for a cold day.
With the holidays approaching, this recipe would be great to serve if you have family coming in from out of town. The crock pot does most of the work for you so you can sit back and relax and enjoy time with family and friends. It is what I will be making for my family who will be traveling to be with us for Thanksgiving.

Crock Pot Ravioli
1 lb. ground beef
1 med. onion, chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 1/2 T. italian seasoning
24 oz. jar pasta sauce (whichever your family likes)
10 oz. can diced tomatoes with green chilies
1/2 C. grated parmesan cheese
25 oz. pkg. frozen 5 cheese ravioli (no need to thaw)
8 oz. shredded mozzarella cheese
Brown the ground beef in a skillet, drain off the grease and add the onion and garlic. Cook for 2-3 minutes and add the italian seasoning, pasta sauce, tomatoes and parmesan cheese. Stir to combine and remove from the heat. Place a layer of the sauce in the bottom of your crock pot. Place half of the ravioli on top and then another layer of sauce and remaining ravioli. Pour the remaining sauce over the ravioli and then sprinkle the cheese all over the top. Cover and cook on high for 3 hours.
