A Pathfork man was placed behind bars on Friday after being accused of raping a child.
Brady J. Patrick, 27, was arrested by Bell County Sheriff Deputy Joel Quillen and charged with first-degree sodomy, first-degree rape, incest and first-degree sexual abuse. Police said the victim is under 12 years of age.
Patrick was being held at the Bell County Detention Center on a $100,000 cash bond. The investigation is ongoing by the sheriff’s department.
In other police news, a Middlesboro man was arrested on Wednesday on a drug trafficking charge. Jack Gore Sr., 57, was arrested by Middlesboro Sgt. Joe Holder and charged with second-degree trafficking a controlled substance.
According to the arrest citation, Gore sold four white pills marked Watson 853 (hydrocodone) to a confidential informant working for the MPD for the purchase price of $40. The transaction happened on March 28.
The transaction was allegedly captured on audio and video record.
Other recent arrest and charges include:
• Claude Elvis Dixon II, 19, of Middlesboro, two counts of theft by unlawful taking (shoplifting) and first-degree possession of a controlled substance (cocaine);
• Wendy Barnett, 40, of Pineville, trafficking a controlled substance (second or greater offense);
• Tony D. Ramsey, 38, of Middlesboro, first-degree trafficking a controlled substance.
