College to conduct workshop to assist owners of businesses

WILLIAMSON - Southern West Virginia Community and Technical College will sponsor a “5 Strategies to Promote and Grow Your Business Online” classe free to the public, instructing business owners in the art of “Turning Clicks into Customers.”

The educational workshop was created to assist local businesses with their online marketing. Between the dates of May 12 and May 16, marketing expert Eric Spellmann of Spellmann and Associates will conduct half-day sessions at multiple locations throughout the area, with one of those scheduled for the Williamson campus of Southern.

Spellmann is nationally recognized as an expert web design and marketing instructor. He promotes a no-nonsense approach to help local businesses effectively promote their products and services online. Spellmann’s topics include improving website content and placement, using social media effectively and sharing affordable ways of taking reservations and payments online.

The sessions are open to everyone but will be geared toward businesses in the tourism industry. Whether you provide lodging, arrange tours, manage a shop or just have an interest in enhancing or creating a new business, this workshop can help you improve your online marketing skills. Registration for the class is required and there is no cost to attend.
