BOIL WATER ADVISORY

January 31, 2014

A boil water advisory is being issued to protect Mountain Water District customers against potential bacterial contamination due to a water shortage and line leaks brought on by the recent severe weather and freezing temperatures. Water used for drinking or cooking purposes should be boiled at a rolling boil for at least three minutes.

The affected areas are Dials Branch, the Southside Mall area and the Slaters Branch/Route 292 area.

Customers will be informed when it is no longer necessary to boil their water.
