WILLIAMSON - Multiple arrests have been reported in the county during the last week, keeping officers and magistrate court officials busy.
Stephanie Dawn Salmons, 27, of Delbarton, was taken into custody by Mingo County Sheriff’s Department Deputy L. Thomas on charges of domestic assault after she allegedly attempted to kick her brother between the legs more than once, and threatened other bodily harm.
Pernell M. Kidd, 50, of Ragland, was arrested by West Virginia State Police Troopers J.R. Tupper and T.G. Kania III, on charges that include DUI, failure to maintain control, improper registration, no proof of insurance and driving with revoked license for reasons of DUI.
Johnny Allen Dingess, 60, of Verdunville, was placed under arrest for DUI by state police troopers D.L. Contos and D.M. Williamson.
Sherry Lynn Caudill, 50, of Williamson, faces charges of domestic battery and domestic assault following her arrest by state Trooper C.A. Douglas after she allegedly attempted to strike her son with an open hand and shoved him to the ground. The defendant is believed to have been under the influence of alcohol at the time.
Cleatis Blankenship, 43, of Matewan, was arrested on charges of domestic battery and obstructing by sheriff’s department Sgt. A. Farra and Deputy M. Mounts. These two officers also arrested James Blankenship, 21, of Beech Creek, on charges of domestic battery and public intoxication.
Kelly Ann Ross, 25, of Red Jacket, was taken into custody after being charged with one count each of domestic battery and destruction of property. She allegedly struck her ex-husband repeatedly in the head with a closed fist and busted out a window of a residence belonging to her parents. The defendant reportedly was injured in the mishap and was treated and released from Williamson Memorial Hospital prior to being jailed.
Lewflurcie Hall (Lambert), 31, of Dingess, was arrested on charges of receiving/transferring stolen property.
