Bank at Virgie, Ky. robbed Wednesday morning

VIRGIE, Ky. - Kentucky State Police (KSP) is investigating a bank robbery which occurred on Wednesday, at 9:45 a.m. in the Pike County community of Virgie, Ky.

KSP Post 9, Pikeville received a 911 call of an armed robbery at US Bank in the Virgie. KSP Troopers and Detectives responded to the scene and obtained information indicating that an unidentified male entered the business, brandished a weapon, and demanded money.

The unidentified male was described as wearing tan pants, dark jacket, blue bandanna and white cap.

The unidentified male exited the business and got on the back of a green Honda Foreman which was operated by an unidentified male whom was described as wearing tan Carhartt type coveralls, hoodie, tan toboggan and gloves.
