The Tug Valley Road Runners Club is planning another race. It has been dubbed the Cupid Shuffle and will be ran in February, close to Valentine’s Day.

The run will take place in downtown Williamson on Saturday, February 9, starting at 12:45 p.m.

This course is 3.10 miles and the runners will meet at the Coal House and then walk over to City Gym for the start.

This is the same course that the TVRRC ran last September.

“We will start from City Gym, go up 3rd Avenue, turn left on to Prichard Ave and another left on Second Avenue,” said Alexis Batausa of the TVRRC. “We go all the way down Second, pass the Coal House, across the bridge into Kentucky (behind Sunoco), onto the sidewalk along U.S. 119, cross over the Harvey Street Bridge and back into West Virginia. We run this loop three times which would give you the 3.10 miles. The finish line would end at the Coal House.”

Registration fee is $15 and can be paid the day of the race from 11am-12:00 noon. Runners who pay will get a T-shirt.

“We will have everyone register at the Coal House in downtown Williamson,” said Batausa. “ We are in the process of getting some sponsors for the race.”

“Also, food and drinks will be available at the race,” he added.

There will be a kids race after the adults finish their run.
