SOUTH WILLIAMSON, Ky. — With specialties in medicine including the fields of internal medicine, pulmonology, general surgeon and family medicine, South Williamson Appalachian Regional Hospital (ARH) CEO Tim Hatfield feels that the healthcare facility can now accommodate their patient’s needs in a more timely and efficient nature than ever before.
In the last few months, ARH has welcomed Edilfavia Mae S. Uy, M.D. and Collette C. Jonkam, M.D., both Internal Medicine Specialists, Luisangel A. Rondon, M.D., a General Surgeon; Ramon Colman, M.D., FACP, FCCP, a Pulmonologist, and Angel Justice, D.O., who is a Family Practice physician to their staff.
Dr. Rondon is a general surgeon whose experience includes minimally invasive and bariatric surgeries. He completed his general surgery internship at the Graduate Hospital in Philadelphia; his residency at St. John Hospital and Medical Center in Detroit and a fellowship in bariatric surgery at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center.
Dr. Rondon is located on the 1st floor of ARH in the Tug Valley Medical Associates clinic, which shares a waiting room with the radiology department.

She did her residency at the University of Connecticut and her post-graduate training was at the Hartford Hospital and the St. Francis Hospital, all of which are in Connecticut. She was awarded top honors throughout her medical career.
Dr. Uy is trained to treat and manage diseases and conditions that affect the heart, lungs, kidneys, liver, urinary tract, brain, spinal cord and other organs. She shares an office inside the ARH Medical Mall Clinic located on U.S. 119 (former location of Magic Mart) with Dr. Jonkam, who is an Internal Medicine physician specializing in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of adult diseases. Jonkam completed her residency at the Atlanta Medical Center in Georgia, and also had a postdoctoral research fellowship in Anesthesiology at the University of Texas. She received her undergraduate and medical degrees in Aachen, Germany.
Dr. Justice, who is a local resident, attended Pikeville College and the WV School of Osteopathic Medicine in Lewisburg. Her residency and internship were completed at the Pikeville Medical Center. Justice treats illness and provides preventative care including checkups, health-risk assessments, screenings and women’s health services. She is located on the first floor of the ARH Clinic, where she shares office space with Pulmonologist, Dr. Colman.
Dr. Colman is board certified in Internal Medicine and Pulmonary Diseases. He diagnoses and treats diseases, conditions, and abnormalities of the lungs and cardio-pulmonary system. He treats patients with complex pulmonary problems such as pneumonia, asthma, tuberculosis, emphysema, and complicated chest infections. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine and his fellowship in Pulmonary Medicine in New York. In his professional career, he has been a university professor, senior Medical Officer and an Internal Medicine/Pulmonary Medicine Consultant for a Dept. of Public Health.
“We feel that the addition of these five physicians as well as others who will join our staff in the future raise the bar for the level of healthcare the residents of the Tug Valley area may receive without finding the need to travel elsewhere,” stated Hatfield. “Our goal here at ARH is to address the needs of the public and meet those needs with the best healthcare possible.”
